A $100 deposit is required to hold your spot. Final payment is due no later than Friday, Feb. 17. For more information, or to register, visit the Sauk box office or call 517-849-9100.

Here is the complete itinerary (all times are Chicago time except when noted):

  • 8:00 a.m. - Meet at The Sauk (Michigan time)
  • 8:30 a.m. – Depart Sauk Theatre (Michigan time)
  • 11:30 a.m. – LUNCH at the Drury Lane Theatre.
  • 1:30 p.m. – Attend performance of A CHORUS LINE at the Drury Lane Theatre.
    • This impassioned backstage look at the intimate lives of dancers auditioning for a Broadway chorus brilliantly combines stunning song and dance with a compelling, moving story. Beloved around the world, A Chorus Line is the ultimate love letter to Broadway and features memorable numbers including “What I Did for Love,” “One,” and “I Hope I Get It.” The iconic musical won the Pulitzer Prime for Drama in addition to nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Score, and four Drama Desk Awards.
  • 4:30 p.m. – Depart Drury Lane for NAVY PIER
  • 5:30 p.m. – Arrive at Navy Pier for dinner on your own (dinner is not included in trip price)
  • 7:30 p.m. – Attend performance of THE COMEDY OF ERRORS at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre.
    • An eccentric group of stage and screen actors gather on a London movie set in 1941 to film the play as much-needed comic relief for the troops. Backstage antics and hilarious complications abound as Antipholus and Dromio search for their identical twins, lost since infancy.
  • 10:00 p.m. – Depart Navy Pier for Sauk Theatre
  • 2:30 a.m. – Arrive at Sauk Theatre (Michigan time)

Niagara Falls/Shaw Festival Trip

August 17-19, 2023
Thursday, August 17
7 a.m. – Depart Sauk Theatre for Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada (Passport or Enhanced License required)
2 p.m. – Arrive at NIAGARA FALLS for Day on Your Own
10 p.m. – Watch FIREWORKS at Niagara Falls
10:30 p.m. – Depart for Hotel in Niagara on the Lake
11 p.m. – Check into Hotel

Friday, August 18
11:30 a.m. – Attend performance of VILLAGE WOOING at the Royal George Theatre

  • On a cruise ship, an anti-social writer (‘A’) becomes acquainted, quite unwillingly, with a sparky young woman (‘Z’). The two of them have nothing in common: not their class, not their experience, not their outlook. So, of course, it is a love story. With six actors for two parts, the casting of A and Z will be as unpredictable as love itself.

2 p.m. – Attend performance of ON THE RAZZLE at the Royal George Theatre

  • Life in a small Austrian village can get a bit tedious. But when two shop assistants decide to go “on the razzle” in Vienna, they manage to get into more trouble in one night than most of us will in a lifetime. Mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and scrapes with the law – all the ingredients of farce are whipped up by the incomparable Tom Stoppard into a feast of dazzling language and terrible puns.

8 p.m. – Attend performance of GYPSY at the Festival Theatre

  • Gypsy Rose Lee was the world’s most famous striptease artist; Momma Rose the ultimate stage mother. Follow their extraordinary story in Stephen Sondheim’s timeless musical about sex, power and longing. With legendary songs, including “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming up Roses,” Gypsy remains the greatest American musical.

Saturday, August 19
10:00 a.m. - Backstage tour of Festival Theatre

12:00 p.m. – Attend performance of BLITHE SPIRIT at the Festival Theatre

  • A theatre-lovers’ favourite ever since it was written, Blithe Spirit is a tug-of-love comedy with a difference: one of the lovers is a ghost. Novelist Charles, hoping to gather material for his next book, asks Madame Arcati (one of the great characters in all of theatre) to conduct a séance in his house. It works too well: his first wife returns from the other side, with predictably disastrous results for his second marriage. Noël Coward at his deadliest.

3:00 p.m. – Depart for home, stopping for quick dinner
11:00 p.m. – Arrive back at Sauk Theatre

Lodging location and price to be announced soon!
