CALL FOR 2027 SEASON DIRECTORS

The Sauk is seeking energetic, motivated and artistic individuals to serve as directors of our 2027 productions. 

Interested individuals are asked to send a letter of interest to Executive Director Trinity Bird at thesauk.hct@gmail.com. Applicants will then be supplied an application and pdf of their requested script. Applicants may submit for more than one production but each production requires its own application.

Application deadline is Friday, September 4 at 5 p.m.

The productions seeking a director are:

THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE (Musical)
Auditions: December 7, 8, 2026 at 7 p.m.
Tech Rehearsal: February 7
Performances: February 11-14, 18-21

Applicant must have a musical director to apply.

LES MISERABLES (Musical)
Auditions: March 22, 23, 24 at 7 p.m. 
Tech Rehearsal: June 6
Performances: June 10-13, 17-20
Applicant must have a musical director to apply.
 
WE WILL ROCK YOU (Musical)
Auditions: June 14, 15 at 7 p.m.
Tech Rehearsal: August 8
Performances: August 12-15, 19-22
Applicant must have a musical director and choreographer to apply.
 
THE LIGHT BURNS BLUE (Drama Play)
Auditions: July 12, 13 at 7 p.m.
Tech Rehearsal: September 6 (Labor Day)
Performances: September 9-12

STEPPING OUT (Comedy Play)
Auditions: August 16, 17 at 7 p.m.
Tech Rehearsal: October 10
Performances: October 14-17, 21-24
Applicant must have a choreographer to apply.

A CANDLE IN THE WINDOW  (Family Play)
Auditions: October 18, 19 at 7 p.m.
Tech Rehearsal: November 28
Performances: December 2-5, 9-12

We will seek directors for other productions later this year.
