HILLSDALE COUNTY'S COMMUNITY THEATRE

Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021

Dear Ticket Holder:

I am writing to you with a heavy heart. As you probably have heard by now, Ed Asner passed away Sunday morning surrounded by his family at home. Mr. Asner, even at age 91, was still touring the world with his two shows and was looking forward to coming to The Sauk in October.

As you also know, Mr. Asner’s visit was postponed twice due to the COVID pandemic. As we continued to prepare for his visit this October, sales had reached nearly $8,000 with about 35 percent capacity yet to sell. We were expecting this to be a large fundraiser for us and a great boost to our finances that have been low due to limited capacity, smaller shows and delayed production dates.

We are writing asking you to consider donating your tickets back to the theatre. It really would make a world of difference as we look to the future.

We understand that finances are tight for everyone these days. We can offer you a refund but it is complicated given the amount of time tickets have been available. Please note, only credit card purchases made in the last 90 days can be refunded to your card. For those who purchased their tickets prior to that time, their refund would come in the form of a check from our ticket vendor, TicketsToTheCity. Refunds can take up to 8 weeks to process.

Please consider these options and let us know which one is best for you. We can only offer these options until the scheduled show dates. At that time, all ticket sales become final.

We appreciate your patience as we try to contact every ticket holder for this event. This is a new situation for all of us.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of The Sauk. We would not be here without you.
